A youth group under the aegis of Ondo Progressive Forum has berated concerned Ilaje youth over their recent attack on the workaholic State Commissioner for Finance, Mrs Omowumi Isaac.
The group in a statement issued by Ondo through its Publicity Secretary, Ogunleye Adeleke Blessing described the allegation levelled against the Commissioner for Finance as spurious.
The Concerned Youth in Ilaje has called on Aiyedatiwa’s family to rescue Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa from the bondage of the commissioner for Finance.
But the progressive youth group described the allegation as baseless and uncalled for.
The group said, “Ondo State has never witnessed a prudent and reliable Commissioner for Finance like Omowunmi Issac.
She has successfully cut the excesses of the State Government and blocked channels of wastage in governance.
“Many are not happy with the way she has prudently managed the resources of the state by ensuring that due process is duly followed.
“They are busy sponsoring frivolous allegations against her to dent her image and portray her in bad light ”
The group however called on the Ilaje stakeholders to caution their Youths from sponsoring malicious statement to portray the commissioner in bad light
The group pleaded with the Commissioner for Finance to continue to manage the state’s finances prudently
“Our Commissioner should be rest assured that Ondo State citizens home and in the diaspora are proud of her achievement.
“She has demonstrated a rare quality of managing resources and ability to cut government excesses and block loopholes of siphoning government funds.
