Akoko Progressive Youth is a conglomeration of Akoko youthful and useful Indigenes that wants the rapid development of Akoko.
It cut across the four local government that makes up Akoko Nation.
It will be pertinent to note that Akoko has been marginalised in recent time and not because Akoko has not been represented in the government but the region has not been adequately represented.
The region has produced giant in every sector of life, be it Commerce and Industry, Finance e.t.c. but it has not produced a politician that really has the love of the people at heart.
It is on this note that we the Akoko Progressive Youth has decided to agitate for a Female Deputy Governor from the Third Force Movement (ZLP) in the State, politician has deputised Governors in the State and even we have had a Governor in the region.
We have decided to pull our weight behind Hon. Mrs. Simi Akindele-Odunmbaku, a mother that knows and understands the cry of the Akoko Region. She has in different time requested to represent the Region but for fate she was denied the chance.
As a commissioner in the State, her impact was deeply felt by the people of the State not just the Akoko region. Hon Simi is not just a mother but an humanitarian who has the spirit of development at heart.
Hon. Simi track record in the State is a clear evidence that if she is given a chance to deputise the Zenith Labour Party Candidate in the State, she will be a mother to the State and deliver the dividends of democracy to the people.
An humanitarian who has the sympathy of the people at heart is what our Dear State need for rapid development.
The entirety of Akoko Progressive Youth demands a female Deputy Governor from Ondo State third force ahead of Oct 10th governorship election.
We promise to mobilize for the emergence of the third force if Hon. Sinmi is given the chance to occupy this sit.
