The democracy we practice in Nigeria is surrounded by mischievous people who at all time see reasons to blackmail others for their selfish interest.
It will be recalled that I, Hon. Jamiu Sulaiman Maito, resigned my position as the Majority leader of the Ondo State House of Assembly last month.
I have received several messages and calls stating it to me that am no longer a member of All Progressive Congress.
In lieu of this, it will be pertinent to state it clearly that, I, Hon Jamiu Sulaiman Maito is still a member of All Progressive Congress (APC) and am not planning to defect from the party for any reason.
Though there can be personal relationship between me and the Deputy Governor, H.E. Hon. Agboola Ajayi, who has defected from our party to pursue his political career under the Zenith Labour Party platform, this has not affected my stance with my party and our Government.
My resignation has absolutely nothing to do with my political party but protecting the integrity of the Assembly is one of the reasons I resigned as a principal officer of the Ondo State House of Assembly.
I, Hon Jamiu Sulaiman Maito is still a member of All Progressive Party and a supporter of our “Talk and Do” People’s Governor.
Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu SAN is the flagbearer of our Great Party and myself and my teaming supporters are working tirelessly for his reelection.
Ondo State is going higher with Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu SAN.
