I’m compelled to write this article due to the cacophony of voices expressing opposition to Olubunm Tunji-Ojo second term bid despite his commitment for humanitarian services and his concrete achievements accross his Constituency.
Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, is a quintessential servant Leader whose examplary style of leadership is worthy of emulation. He is a man who has carved an imperishable niche for himself for posterity to remember as a result of his excellent performance. And his achievements and contribution towards the development of his land and his people will remain indelible in the political annal of Nigeria.
I’m still left bewildered why people will be clamouring to unseat someone who has devoted his time and attention and sacrifice a lot for the betterment of his people. Though, zoning is conventional arrangement in Nigeria’s political arena to ensure political stability but the most paramount consideration should be competence and meritocracy. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo is competent Leader who has the mental capacity and gravitas to occupy a public office and his achievements within this short period of time is an eloquent testimony to my assertion.
Irrespective of zoning arrangement, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo remains the most credible aspirant and he has done everything possible within his whims and capricious to bring something tangible to his and people by articulating their yearnings and aspirations. This corroborate the common saying that: ” one good term deserves another and the only way to reciprocate his kind gestures is to rally our support and garner our votes for him so that this kind of good deeds can continue to thrive in our society.
I’m aware some people are working clandestinely to truncate his second term bid which I consider as a grave political blunder and will eventually lead to life time regret. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo remains the best and and attempt to replace him will amount to injustice his part for his excellent performance I admonish all and sundry to throw their weight behind him so that the good work can continue our total support for Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo is a support for progress.
