……For misrepresenting Owo Culture and Tradition
……Abuses dressing code for chiefs in the kingdom
Olowo of Owo Land, His Imperial Majesty,Oba Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye-III, on Monday suspended indefinitely Chief Aderobagun Adekolajo and told him to stop parading himself as a chief in Owo and elsewhere henceforth.
Aderobagun suspension was not unconnected with his blatant misrepresenting the revered culture and tradition as it affects chieftaincy dressings in the kingdom.
The monarch who could not hide his anger seeing the suspended chief trying to defend his action which had gone viral on social media, told him (Aderobagun) that he is unworthy to be a chief as he was using his 40 years long time reign as a chief to bully and abuse the culture of the land, therefore stands suspended indefinitely.
It would be recalled that, Aderobagun while celebrating his 40th year of installation as a chief dressed abnormally as he was seen in the pictures that went viral where he wore an unusual rounds of full beads and capped it up with ‘Udaaira’ (similar to a crown of a king).
Showing the seriousness of the order as released by his Imperial Majesty, his neck bead (akon) was immediately removed and handed over to the Iloros for further action.
Pictures below show the faulted dressings of Aderobagun that went viral.
