The late Ondo State Commissioner for Health, Dr. Wahab Aderopo ADEGBENRO who died in active service to the State fighting the Covid-19 pandemic must very disappointed in his grave, as family members cried out that the late medical doctor 8-day fidau was shunned by the Government he served so passionately and wholeheartedly.
Gov. Rotimi Akeredolu whom the late commissioner served until his death as Commissioner for Health and Chairman Intergovernmental Committee on Covid-19 was absent from the FIDAU prayer in Ilara-Mokin today, Friday 10 of July. Family member who told news correspondent said that members were disappointed in the governor, colleagues of the late Adegbenro in the State EXCO and officials of the Ministry of Health who were all absent at the FIDAU prayer.
“People should come here today to learn the real behaviour and character of human beings. Who can believe that with the large crowd that gathered at the burial of ADEGBENRO just 8 days ago, exhibiting and dramatising with loud cries, sweet words, eulogies, tributes and sorrowful looks; the late Adegbenro could have been easily forgotten and his immediate family left alone to bare the loss and grief of their late bread winner.
“Even before the expiration of the seven days mourning period declared in the state, by Governor Akeredolu, the Governor himself has carried on with his politicking and other activities like nothing of such great loss has occurred. I don’t think this family will ever have anything to do with this government again, since government has decided to abandon us and cut away the bond with us.
