It was an historic moment today at the palace of Olukare of Ikare-Akoko,Oba Akadri Momoh when 28 Obas of Akoko North East/West Federal Constituency unanimously abolished the rotational arrangement creating disaffection between the two Local Government that made up the federal Constituency.
The royal father’s equally used the occasion to endorsed and compensated the incumbent member of the National Assembly, Honourable OLUBUNMI TUJI-OJO,member of the House of Representatives for ANEW Fed. Const.with 2nd Term ticket for his Qualitative Representation.
Majority of the Monarchs from for sometime has thrown caution into the wind by openly give their endorsement to Hon.BTO as a compensation for his supersonic performance in office.
The Obas today in during an extraordinary meeting protested the negative impact of the rotational system of electing lawmakers into the HOR had on the two LG.
The monarchs numbering about 28 said the rotational method that the two LG had adopted in the past has not resulted in any meaningful or beneficial development on the two LG.
According to a press statement jointly signed by all the Obas present.
The Statement read, Rising from their meeting on the rotation arrangement in the federal constituency ahead of the 2023 general election has been abolished.
A communique issued and signed by all the 28 monarchs noted that the issue of rotation has been finally laid to rest in the two local governments which make up Akoko North federal constituency.
