Agbaka Afolabi Obasuyi, the Agbaka of Alagbaka has expressed congratulations to Nigerians on this year’s anniversary of Nigeria’s 62nd Independence.
The monarch’s message is contained in a release he personally signed and made public.
Agbaka Obasuyi who said though the road has been rough, the day’s event provides another opportunity to take stock of the struggles and seeks ways to rebuild the nation.
While particularly noting that it is time for Nigerians to come together in unity irrespective of religious sentiments and tribal differences, the monarch said a great nation is possible if every Nigerian makes it a collective responsibility to see a united Nigeria not divided along ethnic lines.
The revered monarch also used the occasion to commend the efforts of successive government in keeping the nation as one despite all challenges just as he charge Nigerians to continue to support the government in their efforts to build a great Nigeria.
On the coming elections, Agbaka Obasuyi who is also the central senatorial district candidate of the Action Peoples Party charged Nigerians to vote wisely for candidates that are competent and are able to deliver good dividends of democracy to Nigerians at large just as he reaffirmed his readiness to serve the people if voted into power.
