Akoko vacant Reps seat: Why I’m most qualified to replace BTO – Olusa
A lawyer, Olumuyiwa Olusa has indicated his interest to fill the vacant Akoko North-East/Akoko North-West Federal Constituency seat of Ondo State.
Olusa at a meeting in Ajowa Akoko area of the state, expressed hope that the party leadership will be neutral.
The meeting was attended by notable members of the All Progressives Congress from different wards
The seat became vacant, when President Bola Tinubu appointed the occupier, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo as the Minister of Interior.
This necessitated a by-election and many politicians in the constituency are jostling to replace Tunji-Ojo in the House of Representatives.
Olusa told his supporters that he is in the race to change the face of politics in the area.
He added that he would provide purposefully Leadership if giving the chance to represent the people.
According to him, “I am in the race to serve the people. I have the capacity to bring rapid development to the the people.
“I am a committed party member with a credible credentials. I am not going there to amass wealth but to add value to legislative business because of my wealth of experience
He expressed hope that the leadership of the All Progressives Congress, APC in the state, will provide a level playing field for all aspirants.
“I have the believe in the party leadership to do justice and ensure that all aspirants are allowed to contest without having a preferred candidate”
His supporters also expressed hope that Olusa will emerge victorious at the end of the contest.
Chief Olayinka Olanipekun, an APC leader from Arigidi Akoko, said Olusa is a reputable politician who is qualified to represent the federal Constituency
