My name is Barr. Abass Ibrahim, I am a Legal Practitioner. I am from Ogbagi Akoko. I attended Primary school at Auntie Bisi Nursery and Primary School, Ugbe Akoko and Secondary school at Citadel International College, Arigidi Akoko. I studied English and Literary Studies at Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko. After my studies, I served my Country at the Nigerian Deposit Insurance Corporation during my NYSC. I worked at Standard Chartered Bank for two (2) years after my NYSC before proceeding to the University of Kent, UK to study Law and obtained my LLB. Subsequently, I returned to Nigeria and attended the Nigeria Law School where I was called to the Nigerian Bar.
After being called to the Nigerian Bar, I proceeded to University of Hertfordshire, UK and obtain my Masters in Economic Policy and Law. I practiced as a Lawyer in London for two years before returning to Nigeria in 2012 to commence my law practice in Lagos.
I am currently a Partner in one of the reputable commercial law firms in Lagos, where I currently manage and head the Corporate and Commercial Dispute Resolution Department.
As a true born of Ogbagi Akoko in the Akoko North West Local Government Area of Ondo State, with the desire to adequately and competently represent our Federal Constituency at the House of Representatives, I have expressed my intention to contest in the upcoming bye-election under the Labour Party.
