The attention of APC leaders in Akoko NorthWest Constituency One, has been drawn to some forged names generated by mischievous members (self acclaimed leaders) of the party in the local government against our patriotic Parliamentarian representing the interest of the people at the State House of Assembly, Hon. Jamiu Sulaimon Maito.
Hon. Maito is known for so long to be a patriotic politician, who has the love of his people at heart. Hon Maito has been living all his political sojourn for the advancement and development of his constituents. He is a man of integrity, his integrity has been tested in different fora by diverse means and he has shown the world he stands for due process in all his endeavours.
It will be recalled that Hon. Maito was elected to represent the interest of the good people of Akoko NorthWest Constituency One in the State House of Assembly in 2015 on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC) as an opposition to the State Government. He (Maito) was among the five out of the Twenty-Six Assembly Members who were Progressives. Hon Maito led other four members for the emancipation of this present administration in Ondo State.
Hon Maito was denied a government accommodation just because he refused to compromise his stand with the Progressives. At the tail end of the last administration, the administration was planning unnecessary hardship for the incoming (present) administration in 2017, Hon Maito led other Assembly Members to reject the purported illegal bill at the hallowed chamber.
Hon Maito, since the inception of this government has been an instrument to both the legislative and executive arms.
The acclaimed leaders who signed the letter have done practically nothing for the advancement and development of this State.
It is pertinent to note that, Hon. Maito, his teeming supporters and followers are strongly behind the re-election of Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu SAN to continue his good work in Ondo State. He (Maito) is only dissociating himself from the illegal impeachment of the Deputy Governor, Hon. Agboola Ajayi since every member of the society has right to freedom of Association as enshrined in the Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
