COURT DISQUALIFIES OYETOLA AS APC CANDIDATE FOR OSUN GOVERNORSHIP ELECTION.
Gboyega Oyetola is knocked off as the Court rules that he is not the authentic Candidate of the APC in the July 16th, 2022 Osun State Governorship election.
A Federal high court sitting in Abuja has held in a case instituted by PDP against Gboyega Oyetola that the nomination and sponsorship of Governor Gboyega Oyetola and his deputy at the July 16th Osun State Gubernatorial election, 2022 was incurably defective as Mai Mala Buni,the Governor of Yobe State and the then APC chairman who oversaw the primary election which produced Governor Oyetola as the APC Governorship candidate in Osun State could not have constitutionally held dual positions.
On 7th April 2022, Mr. Kehinde Ogunwumiju, SAN had commenced a suit with No: FHC/ABJ/CS/468/2022 between PDP v Governor Mai Mala Buni & 4 Ors. at the Federal High Court challenging the nomination and sponsorship of Governor Isiaka Oyetola and his Deputy as the duly nominated candidates of the All Progressives Congress.
