BTO Celebrates Human Right Lawyer, Tunji Abayomi On His Birthday
The member representing Akoko North East/North West Federal Constituency at the Green Chamber, Rep. Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo has described Dr. Tunji Abayomi as a rare gift to Nigeria.
The Okeagbe Akoko-born lawyer is the founder and chair of Human Rights Africa, a Nigerian human rights group. He is also the Pro-Chancellor and chair of the Governing Council for Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko (AAUA), and group head at the Tunji Abayomi & Co. law firm in Nigeria.
In a statement by his Special Adviser on New Media, Alao Babatunde, the lawmaker stated, “My uncle, Dr. Tunji Abayomi is a man of his words and a man who loves his people.
“He has spent the biggest part of his years fighting for the rights of the people, even during the exacting military days. He is an uncommon gift to us as a nation and his support for our people is unwavering.
“On the occasion of his birthday, we can’t but wish him long life in good health. We pray he continues to grow in strength and knowledge to serve ou r people.”
