The 20th day of July every year usually marked the New Yam Celebration For the people of Arigidi Akoko.
It’s an avenue for the people to rejoice for seeing yet another harvesting season of their hard work.
The Arigidi Akoko born Engineer, in a statement signed by her media team, rejoice with the people and thanked God for sparing their lives to harvest their hardwork saying; “many witnessed last year but are no more, but God Almighty has spared us to rejoice again.
” May we continue to eat the fruit of our labour in peace” she prayed.
However, she urged the people to use this season to unite more as this is the only way Arigidi Akoko can progress.
“We need to unite ourselves for us to witness progress in our land, we must see ourselves as one so that we can move forward and this this would engender development all around”.
“It’s my prayer that as we witness this year, we will witness more in good health” she said.
