My attention has been drawn to the unpleasant and highly condemnable incident at OUASTECH by some students.
His Excellency and the entire Ondo State Government strongly condemn and disapprove this action as well as any attempt from any quarter to intimidate or coerce any of our students and Ondo State citizens as a whole.
Therefore, all affiliated Students groups under the auspices of Aketi Campaign structure are hereby invited for a meeting with the Senior Special Assistant on Youth and Students’ Affairs on *Wednesday 29th of July 2020* at the *“Office of the SSA Youth and Students Alagbaka Akure”* to discuss appropriate protocols and the rules of engagement in our campaign activities. This meeting became expedient for our students support groups to have a coordinated structure ahead of the gubernatorial election.
We wish to reiterate that all ondo state students are children to this government and must be treated as such irrespective of their political affiliations and any attempt to intimidate, coerce or maltreat any of them will not be tolerated.
My office has initiated a committee to investigate the regrettable act that took place in OSUSTECH with a view to bringing all culprits involved in this highly reprehensible act into book, we appeal to all aggrieved students and officials for calm in the interest of our great state and please be assured that no infringement on any of your basic Human Rights will be allowed and this will be done without discrimination.
