A TIMELY CALL ON ALL APC ASPIRANTS IN ONDO STATE TO ACT NOW TO STOP THE PARTY FROM BEING DESTROYED TOTALLY IN ONDO STATE!
I read the kite being flown in the Punch Newspaper of yesterday on the possibility of using Indirect Primary in determining who becomes APC Gubernatorial Candidates in Ondo State towards the October 10 election.
I see this news item which though an opinion as the real intention of the Party Leaders who did not see how the fortune of the party is going down and deteriorating in Ondo State but are hell bent in assisting the party to die after October 10 Election.
It should be recalled that about 13 Aspirants bought the APC nomination forms at 22.5 Million apart from other expenses of mobilising party members and supporters to and fro Abuja to submit party forms.
It is also noteworthy to say that it is only Aketi the incubent Governor who is one of the Aspirants that wrote all names of Exco without properly conducted Congresses which the party as said by Nabena intends to use for the Indirect Primary Election. Who does that; and expect others to accept the outcome?
I wish to call on all the Aspirants of the Party except Akeredolu camp to rise up now and save the party from total disintegration that will result from Electoral failure if anything short of Direct Primary is used in Ondo State to determine the Gubernatorial Candidate.
Let all other Aspirants rise up now, hold a meeting and call a joint press conference on this issue, sign a joint protest letter and serve the National Caretaker Chairman and other members and if necessary, mobilise APC members from Ondo State to Abuja National Secretariat to nip this injustice in the bud to prevent the tsunami that may consume the party if nothing is done now to prevent this injustice. The party cannot collect nomination fees from about 13 Aspirants; surreptitiously working for the most unpopular one and not provide a level playing field for them and in the end except their cooperation with the imposed.
We have continued to protest the injustice done to majority of members of the party by Governor Akeredolu who has totally neglected 80% of APC Members from Party and government affairs which now made the the people to be disenchanted with APC government in Ondo State.
In Ondo State, APC had a parallel executive led by Hon. Henry Olatuja and the Executive has a pending suit in court challenging the autenticity of the Exco that Nabena is touting as the one that may be used as Electoral College for the Primary Election. If this is done, Zamfara’s experience may befall the party in Ondo State.
