ONDO (STATE) YOUTH FOR GOOD GOVERNANCE CONGRATULATES ARAKUNRIN ROTIMI AKEREDOLU SAN, AS HE CLINCHED APC TICKET TO CONTINUE HIS DEVELOPMENTAL PROJECTS IN THE SUNSHINE STATE.
Ondo (State) Youth for Good Governance (OYGG) is a non governmental youth group that domiciles in Ondo State for over four years. It is a movement that was borne out of the agitation for good governance in our State. The group has embarked on reaching out to the masses through our Major financier and friend, Hon. Femi Adekanmbi. We have agitated for good governance both from State and Local governments, down to political and public office holders in different fora.
The leaders and members of OYGG however are using this medium to congratulate the Executive Governor of Ondo State, H.E. Arakunrin Rotimi Akeredolu SAN, on your undoubtedly well-deserved victory at the All Progressives Congress, primary election on the 20th of July, 2020. This has shown that the State wishes you to rule beyond 2021, for the continuation of his unprecedented achievements in the State.
This victory reaffirmed the high esteem the people of the State and your political party hold for you. You are by definition, a leader whose position demands respect. You deserve kudos for stepping up to do this hard and tideous and cumbersome work of governance again, for taking the inevitable heat and criticism that come with public office again.
The party primary though came with heat and your opponents ravaged to take your job from you, the result clearly showed the Ondo State indigent knows what and who they want to govern them. Your antecedents in the office have clearly shown you are developmental driven politician cum technocrat. Your projects are seen and felt all over the state, as the people are always happy because the righteous is presently ruling.
BobMarley said “I did not come to bow, but to conquer”. Aketi is not bowing neither has he conquered with his own knowledge, but his past antecedents right from his unionism to his National Assignment as the President of Nigerian Bar Association, right to his present status as the Executive Governor of Ondo State is conquering his opponents for him. Aketi is like the Israelites the Bible refers to “when the Lord fights for you, you shall hold your peace”. Aketi is holding his peace because his good deeds to the Ondo State people is fighting for him.
Your spirit of sportsmanship immediately after the primary election shows you are running an inclusive government, where your co-contenders can contribute their ideas for the progress and development of this State.
You are a leader, but also a public servant. You have the “will of the people” behind you and truly understand the will. The leadership and members of OYGG want to assure you that through our principal and friend Asiwaju (Hon) Femi Adekanmbi (AGBETI), we are going to mobilize, canvas and work for your reelection comes 10th of October, 2020.
We will all witness the Ondo State of our dream together.
