AIYEDATIWA URGES LANDLORDS TO PROFILE TENANTS.
***As DSS Parades 6 Suspected Kidnappers.
The Deputy Governor and Acting Governor of Ondo State, Hon Lucky Aiyedatiwa on Monday called on Landlords and House owners in the State to be cautious of whom they give house to, disclosing that, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN led government’s commitment to protecting lives and properties of people in the State is not negotiable.
Aiyedatiwa made this statement during his visit to the Department of State Security Service DSS in Akure.
“I want to appeal to the people to support the government and Security Agencies in the State” , he said.
“This government as being led by Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu SAN, will continue to do all within our capacity to provide security for all and sundry” .
“And I’m passing message to Landlords and House owners in the State, there is the need to do proper profiling of their tenants and know what they do for living” .
“If you notice anyone that is living above his means of livelihood, blow the whistle so that such people can be question” , he appealed.
Continued, Aiyedatiwa said, “landlords and house owners will be made to answers questions on any criminals traced to their domains, therefore, in your own interest, take proper note of who you are leasing your house to, because security is everybody’s business” , he further counseled.
During the visit, the Director of DSS in the State, Mr Jonathan Kure paraded a six-menber syndicate including a nursing mother that specializes in kidnapping toddlers in the State.
Kure said, the suspected Kidnappers have been terrorizing the State by kidnapping toddlers between the ages of two and four years.
He said, the operation was carried out in synergy with men of the Nigerian Army.
