A Chieftain of the All Progressives Congress,APC, in Ifedore local government,Hon. Adelanke Yisa Bakare has commended the governor of the state Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu and Ondo State Independent Electoral Commission,ODIEC for the success recorded at the polls on Saturday.
Bakare made this commendation at the inauguration of the newly elected Chairmen and their Vices at the Dome in Akure .
Speaking with OndoReporters on the conduct of the election, Bakare attributed the success of the election to the good works of the Governor of the state.
The APC Chieftain commended the governor and the State Independent Electoral Commission for taking bold step of conducting a highly competitive election meant to enhance development at the grassroots.
“I like to congratulate ODIEC and the people of the Ondo State for the success of the election which is reassuring about the culture of participatory democracy we are building in the state,” he said.
It is on record that the people comported themselves peacefully before, during and after the period of the election and this confirms the readiness of the people to support us all the way in our bid to truly take Ondo State to greater heights.
“On our part, we shall continue to work assiduously to move the State forward and make life better and comfortable for the people,” Hon. Bakare assured.
Bakare reaffirmed his commitment to the second term re-election of the governor in the October 10, governorship election in the state.
He promised to mobilize support for the victory of the Governor by organizing different programmes that will enlighten the people on the need to vote for development and progress which Akeredolu stands for.
