The election which was witnessed by security agencies and top officials of the party at the national accredited 112 delegates across the 18 local government areas of the state.
Chairman of the Primary Election committee and a national officer of the party, Comrade Gabriel Akinlaja, while announcing the winner of the AAC’s primary election held in Akure said Mr Adeleye polled fifty seven (57) votes to defeat his closest rival and a prominent activist, Kunle Ajayi -Wiseman who recorded fifty (50) votes.
The other contestant, Olumide Akinsanmi recorded there (3) votes while two votes were voided out of the one hundred and twelve (112) votes recorded.
The exercise was conducted amidst tight security in and around the venue, The Dome.
