The former Speaker of Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Abdulsalam Olawale Taofiq, who was a Fmr SSA to Ondo State governor on Legislative matters, who was also a former commissioner for works and infrastructure in Ondo State, has thrown his weight behind the candidature of Bunmi Tunji Ojo (BTO), who is the House of Representatives Candidate of the Party in Akoko North East/ West federal Constituency, Pastor Jide Ipinsagba the candidate of APC in Ondo North Senatorial District, and the Presidential candidate of the Party, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, in the forthcoming general elections billed to hold next Year.
Speaking at a political meeting organized by him in Akure Yesterday September 01, 2022, Abdulsalam told his followers across the six Local Governments in Ondo North Senatorial District that were present at the meeting, that Tinubu is the best candidate to bring about sustainable development needed to take Nigeria to greater heights.
In his word, Abdulsalam described Tinubu as “a team player, a selfless Nigerian whose humility is infectious and who has contributed immensely to the growth of the country. He’s a detribalized Nigerian, an urbane figure, a cosmopolitan personality, and a pan Nigerian. As a two-time governor of Lagos State, he delivered, and as a Senator he delivered. There is no doubt, that Nigeria would grow in springs and hops if he is elected as the next President”. He said.
Speaking further, Abdulsalam extolled Bunmi Tunji Ojo the MHR Representing Akoko North Federal Constituency, He reeled out the achievements of BTO in the past three and half years and commended his exemplary leadership qualities which he possessed, his ability to utilize the resources to transform the federal constituency by impacting positively into the lives of the constituents. He said that he has never had any regrets in supporting BTO in his first term and so, He Urges his supporters and the people of Akoko North federal constituency to give BTO the opportunity to represent them again as he believes that one good term deserves another.
Speaking about Ondo North Senatorial Election, Abdulsalam portrayed Pastor Jide Ipinsagba as a goal-getter, a fearless voice needed at the Nigerian Senate, trusting his ability and intellectual capacity to bring a new face of representation to the Senatorial District, he added.
He advised his followers to forget the past, he urge them to forge ahead, and mobilized for the party as the choice of the party ( APC ) is Supreme, he also appealed to voters not to sell their votes, by urging them to vote for APC and her candidates come 2023.
