2021 International Widow’s Day; FunmiAyinke Plead More Support for Widows
As Nigeria joins the rest of the world to celebrate 2021 International Widows’ Day, Engr. Funmilayo Waheed-Adekojo has plead to the general public to always remember the widows in everything.
Funmilayo Waheed-Adekojo made this call today, in her Abuja office, she made this statement to solidarize with the Nigeria Widow, she analysis the challenges faced by women who lost their spouse and give possible solutions to help them.
FunmiAyinke who addressed her immediate staff and friends analyzed the theme of this year international women’s day “Invisible Women” talked about the invisible problems faced by women who lost their spouse and advised them to always make life bearable for widows.
“Most widows around us suffer in silence, their fundamental human right are sometimes threatened in their search for daily bread and other traumatic experiences; as a decent society, we must extend our hands of fellowship, identify with these women and provide every necessary support.
“I have several platform that i have been using to help widows over years and i bessech us all to make it an important part of our life to always give to the widows. “
The effects of economic hardship across the country is undeniable so let me assure you that challenges faced as widows will not be ignored and we must help them to face the challenges”
FunmiAyinke described widows’ pain as “unique and volatile”, stressing that “they must be encouraged and motivated in all ramifications.”
She finally urged the widows to be courageous and not to be physically and emotionally exhausted by their griefs, adding that the government will not relent in protecting their rights
